I must admit that that we scratched our heads with this photo.... but, eventually, managed to add some labels! As you can see, it is a very large section of the Isle of Thanet looking North from the outer perimeter of Ramsgate.

Enlarged extracts can piece things together. The one below take a closer look at that large set of white roofs in the centre....

  

 

The buildings are the Ramsgate railway sidings and workshops. The white North Foreland Lighthouse can be spotted on the coast in the background.

The main photo shows a large area of green amidst the urban development of Ramsgate. I am sure football fans will already have identified it as the town's Southwood Road football stadium...

 

   

Slipping further south, we pick up a dramatic view of Richborough power station with the River Stour winding its way to its  English channel near Pegwell Bay....

   

  

On the eastern side of Thanet lies the village of Acol with Birchington hugging the northern coast of Kent....
