Canterbury
& Whitstable Line
We continue to work towards a permanent feature on the
old Canterbury-Whitstable Railway. This week, we include
a substantial draft article that examines the stretch of
track between Westgate Terrace and All Saints Church.
The article includes maps and cross sections ...

Phillips... and current day photos from Peter

Tower Parade
In our Chat Column of 7/7/08, Dave Jordan
kindly provided a postcard of Tower Parade during the
flood of 1897. It caused quite a discussion regarding
the way in which that locality developed. Now, thanks to
Jean Martin, we can look in more depth at
the issues.... and link it to our Canterbury &
Whitstable railway article.

emotion and hardship caused by the sinking of the
brigantine Kathleen back in 1891. Diana Suard now
relates the personal suffered by three orphans whose
father was lost ats sea on another vessel several
decades earlier..
