In putting together the Thames Barge feature, I have drawn
extensively on past entries to the Visitors Book and weekly Chat
Columns - including anecdotes, explanations, memories and
photographs. To this, I have added, more specific pieces of
work... including specifically requested items, newspaper clips
and extracts from magazine articles.
I would like to acknowledge the help and work of all the
people listed in table below. Without their contributions, this
article would not have been possible. (Note: The list is an
alphabetical order).
Please bear in mind that I have worked general text around
their contributions and, in some cases, included my own
interpretations. As a landlubber, I hope that I have avoided
errors. However, if there is a mistake, please blame me... and
