The Greta
One example of a beautifully restored barge can be
seen at Whitstable harbour. It is, of course Steve Norris's Greta
and, thanks to Peter Dalrymple, the Simply Whitstable web
site contains numerous shots of the vessel and its modern day

The Wyvenhoe
Although not know to have working connections with
Whitstable, the restored Wyvenhoe was a welcome visitor to
Whitstable harbour a few years ago. She is based at the
head of the River Blackwater at Maldon in Essex and is available
for sailing trips and party or corporate events.

The Xylonite
Xylonite was a steel barge that traded regularly
at Whitstable harbour in the mid-twentieth century. She is now
owned by the Cirdan Trust and used for sail training out of Maldon.
