Hello there Dave!
As there aren't many enrtries in Natives Abroad from
continental Europe, how about one from Paris? Below are photos
showing 'mon quartier'. We moved here a few years ago from a small
village south-east of Paris. The upkeep of a big house and
garden was losing its charms.... as was being completely
dependent on a car.
We have now solved these problems as you can see from this photo
of our local shops in the Avenue Daumesnil...

... and the Bois de Vincennes which provides our new
"back garden" just 200 metres down the road....

Also close by is the Viaduc des Arts - a disused
railway line converted into a landscaped walkway with arts and
crafts workshops under the arches....

Finally, we have the sunset as seen from our
flat....

There's only one thing missing.... sea air! So
I've added a photo of our 'back garden' when we're in Whitstable...........

are wondering where Diana's final photo was taken, we can reliably
inform you that it features the Tower Hill tea garden!
