Hi Dave, 

This photo was taken in, the now car park, of All Saints Church. My brother (front row, second from the left) has filled in the scout/cubs names and dated the photo circa 1946....

I can remember when the car park was "un-made" with a garden border. There was a row of bollards across the entrance to the hall over which I played leapfrog. The Monument was a real "local" frequented by many local characters who would meander home on foot after a good night - often guided by a faithful family dog.
