Longer Term Friendship... With Thanks to Sue Pidford |

|
The All Saints youth organisations performed a great service to young people.... but, inevitably time and people move on. The austere years of the immediate aftermath of World War II faded into history and Whitstable began to wake up to what peace time really. Towards the end of the 1950s, the wake up call took the form of music... fashion..... and Elvis. Thus some of the youngsters of the Youth Fellowship moved on.... to expresso coffee at the new Valentes Coffee Bars at Tankerton and in the High Street.... to juke boxes.... to the Dansette record player..... and the beach. Friendships continued..... as Sue Pidford explains....
