1-3: The New Harbour Garden!!!!

|
Above: This shows the progress
being made on the new public garden at the harbour's Dead
Man's Corner. The "garden" will eventually
provide seats and artistic lighting. It will also
afford protection from a north easterly and help to separate the
leisure activities of the south quay from the industrial east quay. The garden may
be something of an acquired taste.. and some of us
"oldies" may never quite acquire it. ;-) |

"garden" viewed from the south. Below:
The garden view from the east side. |

5-7: "The Forge" & Beach

| Above: A new beach cafe, "The
Forge", now trades close to the old Goldfinch
sail loft on Sea Wall. In the distant past, there
was a real forge in the area and it served the maritime
industries.
Below: The cafe provides a view of the
activities of the nearby yacht club. This area of beach is
now largely devoted to yachts - from the harbour to the
Reeves rainshelters.

the Sea Wall pathway by means of a gap in the buildings.
