Harbour to West Beach - 14 April 2011

Introduction

Recent discussions in the Simply Whitstable Visitors Book have centred on the short stretch of waterfront from the Harbour to West Beach. It is an area that has been revamped over the years.... and generated a tourist industry, supported water-based activity, encouraged new business enterprsises, attracted many new residents..... and sparked a fair few disputes. Just how much has it changed, how is it all utilised and are the changes good or detrimental . Here, we take a tour along the seafront in order to add a few pictures to the debate.
